The Role As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and professional Quantity Surveyor to join our Birmingham Council contract. This is a full time role, we require a temporary or fixed term contractor for c10 weeks to support the existing contract. We welcome candidates with little or no notice period, able to start prior to 30/4. The Customer You will be part of one of Fortem's largest Social Housing contracts, Birmingham City Council. This is a £50m Repairs & Maintenance, Capital Works and Retrofit contract and the largest social housing contract in Europe. We are responsible for over 22,500 properties in the Birmingham area including low, medium and a significant number of high-rise blocks. Duties and Reponsibilities * Ensure the company secures its full entitlement within the contract. * Promote company values and procedures internally and externally. * Ensure project teams meet or exceed budget targets. * Act as a subject matter expert on contractual arrangements. * Maximise cash flow through invoicing and resolving client queries. * Monitor job costs and revenue to support data-driven decisions. * Manage disputes and identify potential issues early. * Ensure accurate cash flow forecasts and revenue profiles. * Support financial reporting and cost control governance.
