Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor – High Rise Residential\n Birmingham City Centre\n £70m RC Frame BTR Scheme\n Contract until Summer 2027\n £350 - £450 per day (DOE)\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on a £50m high-rise Build-to-Rent development in Birmingham city centre.\n\nThis is a major RC frame residential scheme and requires a commercially astute SQS who has previously operated as the lead surveyor on large-scale projects.\n\n The Role\n\n * \n\n Commercial lead on a £50m RC frame BTR project\n\n * \n\n Full cost control and reporting responsibility\n\n * \n\n Procurement and management of subcontract packages\n\n * \n\n Valuations, variations and change management\n\n * \n\n Forecasting and CVR reporting\n\n * \n\n Managing client relationships and attending commercial meetings\n\n * \n\n Overseeing and supporting junior commercial staff (if applicable)\n\n * \n\n Managing the project through to final account\n\n Requirements\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as lead SQS on projects £30m+\n\n * \n\n Strong RC frame and high-rise residential experience\n\n * \n\n BTR or multi-room project background \n\n * \n\n Confident managing full commercial lifecycle\n\n * \n\n Main contractor background essential\n\n * \n\n Available for long-term freelance commitment\n\n The Opportunity\n\n * \n\n Long-term contract running through to Summer 2027\n\n * \n\n High-profile Birmingham city centre scheme\n\n * \n\n Strong operational and commercial team in place\n\n * \n\n Competitive day rate (£350 – £450 depending on experience)\n\nIf you’re a Senior Quantity Surveyor with proven high-rise residential experience and looking for a long-term freelance role in the Midlands, get in touch with Heather Duncan to discuss further
