Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Type: Permanant, Full time
Location: Cottenham office 8am-5pm 2 days a week, Wisbech office 9am-4pm 3 days a week
Salary: £60,000 - £68,000 per annum plus 10% company car allowance

Our client, a well-known family run social housing contractor is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.
Duties & Responsibilities of a Senior Quantity Surveyor:
To undertake all Quantity Surveying duties on your contracts.
To direct and control all financial and legal aspects of your construction contract ensuring that it is profitable.
To be aware of the company's business plan and its aims
To establish, maintain, and enhance effective working relationships with the client and all members of the client’s team.
Prepare any loss and expense claims arising out of the extension of time claims.
Ensure all subcontractors are on our approved list
Working with the contract team to manage the design on a design and build contract with a view of ensuring that changes are made for the financial benefit of the company.
Working with the team to ensure that the request for information schedule Includes and financial or legal elements
To establish a procurement strategy, with a procurement schedule In line with the time requirements of the operational and design deliverables for the project.
Desirable Experience required to work as a Senior Quantity Surveyor:
A very high level of commercial awareness of the industry
A good knowledge of, building law, the law of contract and statutory requirements.
An understanding of financial management.
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
Qualifications & Skills required to work as a Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Good organisational and presentation skills
General business awareness, a practical mind and sound judgement
Must have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
