Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Overview:
An established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of major infrastructure and civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within a growing business delivering high-value projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage project costs, budgets, and financial reporting across multiple civil engineering schemes.
Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts.
Administer contracts in accordance with NEC and other relevant forms.
Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and contractual obligations.
Provide accurate cost forecasting and cash flow reporting.
Liaise closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial performance.
Lead commercial meetings and support the wider commercial team.
Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure, or utilities.
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage project finances from start to completion.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar ().
Membership or working towards membership with a professional body such as RICS or CIOB (desirable).
