Job Description
Our client, a leading provider in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team in the United Utilities region. This permanent position offers a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate, with some hybrid working available to support work-life balance.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPerform quantity surveying duties, managing projects and work packages\nLiaise with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyse, and control costs\nWork collaboratively with the client to ensure business requirements are met\nManage the main contracts, ensuring identifying and raising necessary contractual notices and correspondence\nPrepare and issue subcontract documentation\nAssist in the management and performance of subcontractors\nManage preparation and agreement of applications for payment\nPrepare project cost & value reports, budgets, and forecasts\nAssist in managing and developing junior commercial staff\nEnsure continuous professional development through external networking and industry events\nMaintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback\nUndertake additional duties and training as required\nPresent a professional and positive image in all internal and external contact\nTake reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality \n\nJob Requirements:\n\nDegree or equivalent qualification\nWorking towards or holding chartered membership of a recognised institution\nExperience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors\nNEC3 contract experience\nExperience of managing and developing an individual or small team would be an advantage \n\nBenefits:\n\nHybrid working options\nCar/car allowance\n25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy)\nContribution Pension scheme\nLife Assurance\nHealth Insurance\nPrivate Medical Insurance\nAdditional benefits such as cycle to work scheme, discounts, and savings hub \n\nIf you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to further your career within the water sector, we encourage you to apply now and join our client's dynamic and innovative team in the United Utilities region
