Job Description

Location: Nottingham\nEmployment Type: Full-Time, Permanent\nSalary: Competitive + Car Allowance\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join a major highways upgrade project based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering a significant infrastructure scheme while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working arrangement.\n\nThe successful candidate will support the commercial management of the project, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Manage and monitor project costs and budgets\n\n * Prepare valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts\n\n * Administer contracts and manage subcontractor accounts\n\n * Review and manage variations and change control\n\n * Support procurement activities and subcontractor negotiations\n\n * Work closely with the project management and delivery teams to maintain commercial performance\n\n * Ensure compliance with project and contractual requirements\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\n * Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) qualification\n\n * 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects\n\n * Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration\n\n * Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills\n\n * Ability to work effectively within a site-based project team and remotely\n\n * Previous experience with NEC contracts\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Competitive salary based on experience\n\n * Car allowance\n\n * Opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project\n\nHow to Apply\n\nTo learn more or discuss the opportunity further, please reply to this emailr with:\n\n * An up-to-date Word copy of your CV\n\n * A suitable mobile number for contact
