Job Description

Following the the recent award of a several projects in the Airport, Water, Nuclear and Local Authority sectors, a leading engineering company is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor level professional to join their rapidly expanding team in Reading.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to work on some really exciting civil engineering projects all being delivered using the NEC contract. You will also have the opportunity to lead, mentor and inspire a small team of enthusiastic Quantity Surveyors on these projects across the Thames Valley and West London.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLeading and mentoring a small team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring professional development and project success\nActing as the primary point of contact for various key clients.\nOverseeing quantity surveying activities on civil engineering projects across various sectors including Airports, Water, Nuclear and Local Authorities.\n Ensuring compliance with NEC contracts and efficiently managing contractual responsibilities\nConducting comprehensive cost analysis and financial reporting for projects\nDeveloping and maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery\nCollaborating with other departments to ensure integrated project delivery and successful project outcomes\nImplementing and monitoring quality control measures and project controls\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExtensive experience in quantity surveying, particularly within civil engineering projects\nProficiency in working with NEC contracts and understanding their application in project management\nStrong leadership and mentoring skills with a passion for guiding teams towards success\nProven track record in managing projects within sectors such as rail, highways, water, nuclear, or energy\nExcellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to maintain strong professional relationships\nAccurate and detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\nRelevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications\n\nBenefits:\n\nOpportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects within the energy, transportation, and infrastructure sectors\nProfessional growth and development opportunities within a supportive and collaborative environment\nA dynamic and motivated team environment\nComprehensive employee benefits package\nIf you are a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor with a passion for civil engineering and leading teams, we would love to hear from you.
