A well-established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, with a strong reputation across commercial, education, science, and public sector projects, is currently seeking a confident and capable Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Oxford office. This is a client-facing, consultancy-side role offering the opportunity to lead high-profile developments from early feasibility through to completion.
With a national presence and a portfolio that includes complex new builds and refurbishment schemes, this organisation is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with robust cost management expertise and the ability to work independently across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical insight, and a collaborative mindset to deliver best-value outcomes for clients.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role
The appointed Senior Quantity Surveyor will take a leading role in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration on a range of projects across Oxfordshire and the wider South East. Working within a supportive team, you will liaise closely with clients, contractors, and consultants, ensuring accurate cost control, clear reporting, and timely delivery throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain cost plans and project budgets Manage tendering processes and contractor appointments Oversee contract administration and commercial reporting Lead value engineering, risk analysis, and change control Represent the consultancy in client meetings and design reviews Support project delivery from pre-construction to final account Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to team developmentSenior Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements
6-7 years' Quantity Surveying experience in a consultancy environment Proven ability to manage multiple commercial or public sector projects In-depth knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS accredited) MRICS status or working towards chartership Strong communication and client-facing skills A proactive, organised approach to project deliveryIn Return
