Duration: 6 Months Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 Engagement: Full-time or Part-time Considered Rate: up to £500 per shift We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a £6m highways and infrastructure scheme in Plymouth, working on behalf of a specialist subcontractor. This is a strong opportunity for a QS with proven highways and groundworks experience to contribute commercially to the successful delivery of a fast-moving civil engineering project. Project Scope: Highway and infrastructure works Road widening schemes Roundabout construction General groundworks and associated civils Key Responsibilities: Commercial management of subcontract packages Cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting Preparing and agreeing valuations and variations Managing final accounts Working closely with site teams, clients, and key stakeholders Driving financial performance across the project lifecycle Requirements: Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor within highways and/or groundworks Solid understanding of civil engineering and road schemes Subcontractor background highly desirable Strong commercial awareness and multi-tasking ability Excellent xehkeey communication and negotiation skills What's on Offer: up to £500 per shift , dependent on experience Flexible working arrangements (full-time or part-time available) Immediate start for the right candidate Opportunity to work on a high-value, technically interesting project If you're an experienced QS available for your next contract and looking for a flexible, well-paid role in Plymouth, we'd be keen to hear from you.
