Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.The business delivers healthcare / commercial refurbishment and new-build projects under JCT and NEC contracts, with typical project values ranging from £2m£10m. Operating from a Bedfordshire-based office, projects are largely located across the Home Counties, offering a good balance between office, site presence and regional travel.Known for their collaborative culture, supportive management style and high standards of delivery, our client provides a stable platform for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to play a key role within a sharp, well-structured commercial team.Role SummaryThe Senior Quantity Surveyor will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project teams, clients and the supply chain, the role will focus on maintaining strong commercial control, managing risk, and supporting successful project delivery, particularly within live healthcare environments.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS from a main contracting background to join a growing business with long-term ambitions and a healthy pipeline of work.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial management of healthcare refurbishment and new-build projects valued between £2m£10mCost planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow managementProcurement and management of subcontractors and supply chainPreparation and agreement of valuations, variations and final accountsCommercial reporting and cost/value reconciliationRisk management and change controlClose liaison with site teams, consultants and clientsSupporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team where requiredPerson SpecificationProven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environmentDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction disciplineStrong working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contractExperience delivering refurbishment and/or new-build projects with a main contractorWhy This RoleEstablished and supportive commercial teamStrong pipeline of secured work and long-term stabilityForward-thinking, growing contractor with clear ambitionsPredominantly regional projects across the Home CountiesOpportunity to play a key role in the commercial success of the businessJBRP1_UKTJ
