Projects typically range from £1 million to £20 million+, spanning commercial, heritage, and high-end refurbishment sectors.
Project Examples: • Heritage Restoration, Listed Building Refurbishment and restoration of a historic property, including structural upgrades, conservation works, and high-quality internal fit-out.
• Commercial Fit-Out, Central London CAT A & CAT B fit-out of office space, incorporating high-spec finishes and complex MEP coordination.
• Refurbishment, Mixed-Use Building Full internal and external refurbishment of a mixed-use asset, including façade improvements and reconfiguration of internal layouts.
The Role
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in both the commercial delivery of live projects and supporting pre-construction activities through some estimating and tendering input.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account • Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts • Monitor project expenditure and ensure effective cost control throughout delivery • Lead procurement processes, including preparation of tender packages and analysis of subcontractor returns • Negotiate and appoint subcontractors and suppliers • Prepare, submit, and agree interim valuations and applications for payment • Identify, price, and manage variations throughout the project lifecycle • Produce accurate cost reports and provide regular financial updates to senior management • Assist in securing new work by contributing to competitive and commercially sound tenders • Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations and final accounts
