We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our United Utilities team based in Warrington.

Location: Warrington – remote working available, with occasional travel to site and the office required

\n

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am – 5:30pm). Some flexibility on hours is available if desired – just let us know when you speak to us.

\n

\nWhat will you be responsible for?\n

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the United Utilities team, supporting the successful commercial delivery of a portfolio of wastewater and water infrastructure projects.

\n

Your day to day will include:

\n

\n
• \n

  Managing the commercial and contractual delivery of projects from inception through to final account, including procurement, subcontract management and forecasting 

  \n
\n
• \n

  Accurately monitoring, forecasting and reporting project cost and value, including preparation of monthly cost/value reports and applications for payment

  \n
\n
• \n

  Managing cashflow, risk, and profitability while ensuring compliance with NEC3/4 contracts and Kier commercial governance

  \n
\n
• \n

  Providing commercial guidance and support to operational teams, including value maximisation, cost-control and procurement strategy

  \n
\n
• \n

  Mentoring and developing junior commercial team members and working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders

  \n
\n

\nWhat are we looking for?\n

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

\n

\n
• \n

  You have experience in a similar role within construction, civils or utilities, ideally on framework contracts

  \n
\n
• \n

  You have strong experience administering NEC contracts, including Target Cost contracts

  \n
\n
• \n

  You hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and are working towards or have achieved professional membership

  \n
\n
• \n

  You have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (experience with Oracle, Causeway or Aconex is an advantage)

  \n
\n
• \n

  You hold a full driving licence

  \n
\n
