Our client is a specialist contractor within the modular and permanent structures sector, delivering high-quality construction solutions across the UK. Their Permanent Structures Division is experiencing sustained growth, supported by a strong order book and repeat clients across Healthcare, Education, and Defence.
Role Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key commercial role within the Permanent Structures Division, managing a mix of framework agreements and competitively tendered projects. You will be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle of projects, ensuring cost control, value optimisation, and commercial risk management from pre-contract through to final account.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial management of multiple modular construction projects across the UK
Managing projects secured via frameworks and tenders
Preparation and management of budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
Procurement and management of subcontractors and supply chain
Valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts
Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunities
Supporting pre-construction and tendering activities where required
Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure commercial success
Reporting on project performance to senior management

Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction (modular experience advantageous but not essential)
Experience managing projects from pre-contract to final account
Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management
Experience working on framework agreements and tendered projects
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Willingness to travel to UK sites as required
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
