A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a respected and well-established consultancy based in Suffolk. You will be part of a growing commercial management team, delivering high-quality quantity surveying services across a diverse range of projects and clients. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full ownership of projects from inception to completion, acting as a key advisor to clients, providing cost planning, procurement advice, contract administration, and post-contract cost management. \nKey Responsibilities\n

\n \n Take ownership of projects from pre-contract stage through to final account \n

\n Provide procurement advice and deliver cost certainty to clients \n

\n Lead on feasibility studies, detailed cost planning, and budget management \n

\n Prepare tender documentation and manage the tendering process \n

\n Carry out full post-contract duties including valuations, cost reporting, and variations \n

\n Administer construction contracts and advise on contract strategy \n

\n Attend and chair project/client meetings \n

\n Collaborate with internal and external teams including architects, M&E consultants, engineers, and building surveyors \n

\n Manage and mentor junior QS staff where required \n

\n Maintain regular client contact and ensure exceptional service delivery \n

\n Prepare accurate reports, specifications, meeting minutes, and formal documents \n

\n Support the business in winning repeat and new work through excellent client service \n

\nRequirements & Experience\n

\n \n An intermediate or senior level of experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction or property services sector \n

\n Strong experience working across healthcare, education, and/or commercial projects (both new build and refurb desirable) \n

\n Proven knowledge of both pre- and post-contract surveying \n

\n Strong working knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC, etc.) \n

\n Good understanding of procurement strategies and contract administration \n

\n Excellent communication, client-facing, and stakeholder engagement skills \n

\n Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously \n

\n Proficient with industry software such as CostX, MS Excel, Word, and presentation tools \n

\n MRICS qualified (or working towards) - desirable but not essential \n

\n High level of awareness of construction Health and Safety practices \n

\n Full UK driving licence \n
