Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all contractual and financial aspects of construction projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Undertake risk management, value engineering and cost control.
  • Prepare and assess costings for tenders.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution.
  • Analyse outcomes and produce detailed progress reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the various building contracts currently in use.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in civil engineering projects.
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of contract law and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software packages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
