A leading global consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major infrastructure programmes with a key utilities client, including work across AMP8.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cost professional to take on a client-facing role within a high-profile programme, with strong scope for progression into leadership.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in delivering cost management services across complex infrastructure projects, working closely with a major utilities client. While utilities experience is preferred, this role is also open to candidates with a broader infrastructure background.
This is a client-facing position requiring regular presence within the client’s office environment, offering excellent exposure and the opportunity to build long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial and cost management of infrastructure projects from inception through to completion
Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, and financial reporting
Administer contracts with a strong focus on NEC, including compensation events and change control
Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and client requirements
Work closely with the client and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Provide commercial insight and support decision-making
Contribute to the development of junior team members
About You
Experience operating at Senior Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor level within consultancy or infrastructure environments
Strong, hands-on NEC contract experience (essential)
Background in utilities or infrastructure projects
Confident in a client-facing role, with excellent communication skills
Commercially aware, proactive, and detail-oriented
Professionally qualified (RICS or equivalent), or working towards chartership
