Senior Quantity Surveyor

Liverpool

£65,000 + car/car allowance


We’re seeking a dedicated Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key commercial role on a major highways framework project in the Liverpool area. This is a great chance to join a team that is passionate about shaping how sustainable infrastructure is delivered and to support complex, high‑profile programmes.


Joining a multi-disciplinary energy and transport networks specialist engineering services provider. Working with critical infrastructures across power, renewables, nuclear decommissioning, railways, highways and local government sectors.


What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll support the commercial and contract delivery teams to make sure all schemes are commercially successful, well‑controlled and accurately reported. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing applications and credit control to optimise income
  • Overseeing costing, forecasting, and change control processes
  • Supporting project risk management and documentation (CTC, CVRs)
  • Managing the full subcontract cycle and offering commercial advice to project teams
  • Handling dispute resolution and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders
  • Contributing to tendering activity and training plans, including mentoring an Assistant Quantity Surveyor


Criteria for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor with Certificated or Degree/HND/HNC education
  • Significant experience in contracting commercial roles
  • Strong understanding of construction contract conditions
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft packages
  • Confident in coaching and developing colleagues
