Leicestershire?? £70,000 + Package + Bonus + Car AllowanceSenior Quantity Surveyor Civil Engineering Contractor LeicestershireWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure scheme in Leicestershire.This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor or experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of the commercial management of a significant civil engineering project valued between £5m £60m+.Reporting to the Commercial Manager / Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing project costs, subcontractor procurement, and ensuring the commercial success of the scheme from pre-contract through to final account.This role would suit someone with experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, utilities, or industrial projects.Senior Quantity Surveyor ResponsibilitiesFull commercial management of a civil engineering projectSubcontractor procurement, negotiation and managementPreparing and submitting applications for payment / valuationsManaging variations, change control and final accountsAttending pre-contract and post-tender meetingsManaging subcontract accounts from tender through to final accountWorking closely with site teams and project managersMonitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performanceIdentifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategiesEnsuring compliance with contract conditions and company proceduresSupporting the commercial reporting processSenior Quantity Surveyor RequirementsProven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity SurveyorBackground working for a civil engineering contractor or infrastructure contractorExperience delivering projects £5m £60m+Strong knowledge of contract administration and commercial managementExperience managing subcontractor packagesStrong negotiation and communication skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting toolsAbility to work effectively within a project delivery teamDesirable experience includes:InfrastructureHighwaysUtilitiesIndustrial projectsGroundworksLarge civil engineering schemesSalary & Benefits£70,000 salaryCompany packagePerformance bonusCar allowancePension scheme26 days holiday + additional long service entitlementAccess to employee benefits and wellbeing supportExcellent career development opportunitiesLocationThis role is based on a civil engineering project in Leicestershire, with site presence required.Candidates commuting from Leicester, Loughborough, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Derby, Nottingham, and the wider East Midlands region are encouraged to apply.Diversity & InclusionWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
