Anderselite are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our national civil engineering client, the company operates across a wide range of projects such as: highways, rail, water and energy. They're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial team, overseeing cost planning, estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting from project conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities - Cost Estimation: Produce accurate estimates and tender prices from first principles. - Tendering: Prepare comprehensive tender submissions aligned with client requirements. - BOQ Preparation: Compile detailed bills of quantities for construction projects. - Risk Management: Identify and manage cost-related risks and variations throughout the project. - Contract Administration: Support contract negotiations, amendments, and risk identification. - Project Cost Control: o Monitor budgets and ensure financial targets are met o Prepare applications for payment o Issue notices for early warnings, variations, and compensation events o Draft contractual correspondence and assess entitlement to extensions of time o Produce performance reports, forecasts, and valuations from drawings/surveys - Subcontractor Management: Procure subcontractors and agree terms. - Advisory Role: Advise the operations team on contractual and commercial matters. - Team Oversight: Mentor Assistant and Trainee Qua...
