Overview We are supporting a client in appointing a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for commercial oversight across a range of small to medium construction schemes, generally up to £1m in value. The position involves close coordination with operational teams, ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective contract administration. The successful individual will also contribute to developing junior colleagues and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders. Due to the nature of the work, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will ideally live within a reasonable distance of Doncaster.
Key Responsibilities Manage commercial activities from project start-up through to completion, including procurement, cost monitoring, and financial reporting. Prepare and negotiate subcontract documentation, tender submissions, and final account agreements. Produce valuations and applications to support consistent and timely cash flow. Track expenditure, resources, and performance to ensure projects remain within agreed financial parameters.
