What sets this role apart
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Beaconsfield team and take ownership of the commercial management of their high-end residential developments. You will lead the procurement and management of subcontractor packages, oversee budgets, and ensure costs are controlled throughout the build programme.
Your role will include:
Procuring and placing subcontractor packages in line with the build programme.
Preparing detailed subcontract enquiries, scopes of works and contract documentation.
Analysing returns, negotiating terms and making clear, commercially robust recommendations.
Managing subcontractor payments, variations and contra charges.
Ensuring contracts are placed on agreed terms and conditions.
Attending site meetings and working collaboratively with delivery teams.
Reviewing drawings to ensure proposals are practical, cost-effective and commercially viable.
Providing cost advice to support sales and wider business decisions.
Producing regular cost reporting and full development cost reports.

About you

Strong experience in a similar surveying role within a house builder environment.
Strong commercial awareness and excellent numerical skills.
Great team player.
Good communication skills.
Organised and able to work well in a busy team.
