Head Host / Senior Receptionist Big Easy Canary Wharf Canary Wharf, London Up to £17.50 per hour Big Easy Canary Wharf is recruiting an experienced Head Host / Senior Receptionist to lead our front-of-house welcome in one of Londons busiest, high-volume hospitality venues. This is a senior position suited to a confident professional with proven experience managing large reservation volumes and leading reception teams in fast-paced environments. The Role As Head Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and responsible for delivering an outstanding arrival experience. You will manage a reservations book averaging 4,000 covers per week , control table flow during peak services, and lead the reception team with confidence and professionalism. You will balance exceptional hospitality with commercial awareness, ensuring maximum capacity is achieved while maintaining premium service standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the reception team Manage bookings, walk-ins, and waitlists Operate OpenTable at an advanced level (essential) Control table flow, pacing, and turn times Communicate closely with management and service teams Deliver a warm, professional welcome to every guest Remain calm and solutions-focused during busy service Drive guest loyalty through exceptional first impressions The Ideal Candidate Proven experience in high-volume hospitality venues Previous leadership experience on reception Strong working knowledge of OpenTable Excellent organisational and communication skills Confident, polished, and guest-focused Able to perform under pressure Package Up to £17.50 per hour (depending on experience) Career progression opportunities Staff benefits Work with a market-leading hospitality brand If you are ready to take ownership of a flagship reception desk at Big Easy Canary Wharf, we would love to hear from you.
