Global FinTech is seeking a Senior Regulatory Counsel to join their team in London.


This role will play a key part in managing regulatory oversight of the company’s payment operations in Europe and the UK. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal and regulatory advice across multiple business functions, collaborating closely with compliance and global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on European and UK payment system oversight frameworks and related supervisory requirements
  • Provide regulatory guidance to business and technology stakeholders, ensuring compliance while supporting innovation and operational efficiency
  • Partner with compliance teams to engage constructively with central banks and regulators on oversight matters
  • Support regulatory engagements, examinations, and strategic initiatives, including the management of external counsel.


About You

  • Qualified lawyer in UK/Europe with mid-level post-qualification experience.
  • Background in a regulated financial institution, payments business, or central bank/regulator, retail banks preferred
  • Strong understanding of prudential regulation and the role of financial market infrastructures
