Senior Reliability Engineer

Location: South Wales

Shifts Available: Days Monday-Friday


My client in the food manufactuyring ndustry are currently looking to onboard a Senior Reliability Engineer into their engineering department.

You will lead a small team to support the delivery of the site’s Asset Reliability strategy, focusing on day-to-day reliability improvements, coaching and developing team members, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment. You will support the Site Engineering Lead in executing reliability initiatives, implementing TPM, Asset Care, Root Cause Analysis, and other continuous improvement programs at the operational level.



Responsibilies

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a small team of engineers and technical operatives.
  • Prioritise and ensure completion of corrective and preventative maintenance actions.
  • Analyse top operational losses and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Support standardisation and continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards.
  • Deputise for the Site Engineering Lead when required.
  • Liaise with wider FFG Engineering colleagues to share best practices.
  • Assist with local deployment of capital projects and automation plans.


Requirments

  • Experienced in engineering maintenance or reliability within FMCG/food manufacturing.
  • Knowledgeable in TPM, Asset Care, and Root Cause Analysis principles.
  • Skilled in team coaching and development.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and IT skills (MS Office; PowerBI desirable).
  • Excellent communicator with confidence to share updates with teams and management.
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant technical qualification desirable.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple initiatives effectively.
