Senior Residential Property Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive

Harkaye Core Talent is working with a well-established UK law firm seeking an experienced Senior Residential Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its growing Real Estate team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a residential property lawyer looking to take on greater responsibility within a supportive and forward-thinking team, managing a varied caseload while contributing to the continued growth of the residential property practice.

The role offers exposure to high-quality residential work, including complex and high-value property transactions.

The Role

You will manage your own residential property caseload from instruction through to completion, providing clear and practical advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process.

The work will include a broad range of residential property matters, including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Re-mortgages and transfers of equity
• Shared ownership matters
• Advising on high-value residential transactions
• Matters involving listed buildings, rural properties and bespoke homes

You will work closely with colleagues, clients and third parties to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion
• Providing clear and timely advice to clients throughout the transaction process
• Building strong relationships with clients, agents, brokers and referrers
• Liaising with estate agents, lenders and other third parties to facilitate transactions
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm procedures
• Monitoring financial performance of matters including WIP and profitability
• Handling negotiations and resolving legal issues during the conveyancing process
• Keeping up to date with developments in property law
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
• Contributing to networking and business development initiatives

About You

The firm is seeking a lawyer who:

• Is a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
• Has strong experience in residential conveyancing
• Has managed their own caseload from instruction to completion
• Demonstrates excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Is highly organised and able to manage multiple matters effectively
• Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Experience advising high-net-worth clients or complex residential transactions would be advantageous.
