Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Lichfield
Salary: £32,000–£38,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week | Shift pattern including evenings and weekends

Trusted Talent are recruiting for a Team Leader to join a stable, fully occupied children’s residential home in Lichfield.

This Team Leader opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker ready to step up, or an existing Team Leader looking for a supportive, progressive environment.

About the Team Leader Role

As Team Leader, you will lead shifts and act as the senior on duty within the home. The Team Leader plays a key role in maintaining structure, safeguarding standards, and ensuring high-quality, child-centred care.

Duties of the Team Leader include:

Leading and supervising Residential Support Workers

*

Acting as senior decision-maker on shift

*

Supporting safeguarding and incident management

*

Ensuring accurate and compliant record-keeping

*

Promoting education, independence, and emotional wellbeing

*

Maintaining high standards in health & safety and medication management

*

Supporting daily operational oversight of the home

This is a hands-on leadership role where the Team Leader sets the tone for professionalism, consistency, and positive outcomes.

Requirements for the Team Leader Position

To be successful as a Team Leader, you will need:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

*

Experience working in a children’s residential setting

*

Previous senior or shift-leading experience

*

Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted standards

*

Full UK driving licence - ESSENTIAL
