Job Description

We are partnering with a highly regarded London-based professional services firm (c.1,000 employees) to appoint a Senior Revenue Manager within its Finance function.


This is a senior, high-impact role with direct exposure to Partners and senior leadership. You will lead the firm’s revenue and credit control strategy, with a clear mandate to optimise working capital, reduce lock-up and improve cash collection performance.


Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of all revenue management and credit control activities, acting as a key business partner across the firm.


Key responsibilities include:


Strategy & Leadership

  • Drive initiatives to reduce lock-up and improve working capital performance
  • Set, monitor and deliver against billing and cash collection targets
  • Contribute to wider finance strategy and operational decision-making
  • Provide regular insight and analysis to senior stakeholders


Team Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and develop a revenue team (c.15–20 people) through direct reports
  • Oversee WIP management, billing and collections processes
  • Implement controls, KPIs and reporting to drive performance
  • Ensure best practice across revenue operations


Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Partner closely with Partners and practice group leaders
  • Act as a trusted advisor on billing strategies and client matters
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to accelerate cash collection


Client Focus

  • Support complex and alternative billing arrangements
  • Enhance processes for key clients to improve billing efficiency
  • Work closely with client finance teams where required


The Candidate

We are seeking an experienced revenue leader from a legal or professional services environment.


Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior revenue / working capital role
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing sizeable teams
  • Deep understanding of WIP, billing, collections and lock-up
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical, solutions-focused and highly organised
