This is a senior reward role (6-9 Months FTC) with broad scope and real influence. You will shape and deliver a modern, commercially aligned reward offering that supports organisational performance, strengthens engagement, and enables the attraction and retention of high calibre talent.Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will act as a trusted advisor on all aspects of reward, combining strategic thinking with hands on delivery. Hybrid - Bristol 1 day per week.Key ResponsibilitiesReward Strategy and DesignContribute to the development and evolution of the overall reward frameworkDesign and implement reward programmes that align with organisational priorities and workforce needsEnsure all reward activity is competitive, sustainable, and aligned to internal principlesBusiness PartneringBuild strong, credible relationships with senior leaders and people teamsProvide expert advice on pay, incentives, and recognition to support business outcomesInfluence decision making through insight, data, and commercial judgementReward ProgrammesLead the design and continuous improvement of salary structures, bonus schemes, and recognition initiativesEnsure reward programmes are clear, consistent, and understood across the organisationSupport the delivery of annual reward cycles including salary and bonus reviewsMarket Insight and BenchmarkingDeliver robust analysis of market trends and pay positioningProvide guidance on salary benchmarking and reward competitivenessUse data to inform decision making and identify opportunities for improvementGovernance and ComplianceMaintain strong governance across all reward activitiesEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policiesPromote fairness, consistency, and transparency in reward decisionsProjects and Continuous ImprovementLead and contribute to reward and wider people projectsIdentify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of workingSupport the development of reward capability across the wider teamSuccess MeasuresAlignment between reward and organisational objectivesAttraction and retention of key talentEffective management of employment costsQuality and accuracy of reward data and insightPositive stakeholder feedback and engagementExperience and CapabilityProven experience in a senior reward or total reward roleStrong understanding of reward principles, frameworks, and best practiceExperience designing and delivering reward programmes at scaleAbility to influence and challenge senior stakeholdersStrong analytical capability with experience in reward modellingExperience operating in complex, multi layered organisationsExposure to job evaluation methodologiesExperience supporting organisational change or transformationSkillsStrategic thinking with strong commercial awarenessExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skillsStrong communication skills both written and verbalAnalytical and data driven approachHigh levels of integrity and sound judgementWhy this roleThis is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping how reward supports organisational success.
