Senior Risk Modelling Data Scientist

Join us as a Data Scientist in our Motor Manufacturing Tribe. This role will sit in the Motor Risk Modelling Team and will work collaboratively with others across Motor Risk and Retail Pricing, as well as colleagues in Underwriting, Trading and Finance teams. What You’ll Be Doing We’ll utilise your skills where they are most needed while giving you an opportunity to grow your expertise. You’ll have the chance to influence what we do and make an impact on our customers’ lives. Your Job Responsibilities May Include
In depth analysis of large datasets utilising a combination of SQL, Python and Radar. Sharing insights from this analysis within and outside the team, including presenting to stakeholders from various business areas. Interacting with the deployment team to support the release of pricing changes. Mentoring and supporting more junior colleagues.
You’ll report to a Band 5 Pricing Practitioner and work alongside a team of experienced colleagues. What You’ll Need
Previous experience using data science techniques to analyse large datasets. Excellent problem‑solving skills with an ability to consider multiple scenarios, understand needs and anticipate outcomes for customers. Experience using SQL and Python. Strong stakeholder‑management, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences. General insurance pricing experience, preferably in personal lines and across a broad range of functions. Familiarity with the WTW insurance software RADAR is desirable but not essential. A numerate degree in Mathematics, Statistics or related subjects.
