Do you enjoy working across teams to ensure accuracy,transparencyand compliance in service charge delivery?Ifso,then we have the ideal role for you!We are currently recruiting for a Senior Service Charge Officerto join our Service Chargeteam,and this role focuses on theaccuratesetting,reconciliationand management of service charges across a designated portfolio.We welcome applications from candidates with experience in service charges, property, housing, or other reconciliation-based roles such as finance,utilitiesor energy sectors, where you have worked with large datasets, cost analysis and complex billing or charging structures.If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!Your impact in the role:Calculate and manage service charge estimates and final accounts across your portfolioTake ownership of end-to-end service charge reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and complianceIdentifyand resolve variances and unrecoverable costs, providing clear rationaleSupport delivery of service charges across a portfolio valued at c.£130 million covering approximately 100,000 homesWork closely with internal teams to ensureaccuratecost allocation and forward planning of worksResolve complex service charge queries and complaints within agreed service levelsProvideexpert advice on service charge processes, leaseinterpretationand legislationSupport and attend resident meetings, presenting service charge information whererequiredSupport the preparation of First Tier Tribunal (FTT) cases and attend whererequiredManage the issue of Section 20b notices and support external audit activityWhat you'll bring:Experience in service charge, leasehold,housingor other relevant environments (e.g. finance, utilities,energyor billing roles) with transferable skills in reconciliation, costanalysisand data accuracyProven ability to manage large portfolios and high-valuebudgetsStrong understanding ofreconciliation,apportionmentand recoveryKnowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Landlord & Tenant Act, lease interpretation, S20b requirements)Ability to interpret leases and legal agreements and apply them in practiceStrong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets and Excel (lookups, pivots)If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!If yourequireany reasonable adjustments at any stage during this process, including application stage, please visit our career page to reach out to us.About L&Q:Wereone of the UKs leading housing associations and developers.
