Abatec is assisting their client, a tier-one civil engineering contractor, in the recruitment of a permanent Senior Site Engineer to work on a rail project in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key part in a high-profile rail infrastructure project, working with a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a rail and civils environment, with a background in groundworks, RC structures, steelwork and building works, and will be confident leading and developing a site engineering team.

As Senior Site Engineer you will:

* Manage and provide survey and setting out information to enable design and construction of the works

* Carry out quality assurance checks in line with company procedures, ensuring safe, high-quality and timely delivery.

* Liaise with site and development teams to ensure clear understanding and accurate implementation of engineering information.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures and engineering specifications.

* Lead and develop the site engineering team, setting high standards for safety, professionalism and quality

Our client requires a Senior Site Engineer with:

* Valid CSCS card, PTS and other relevant training.

* HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience

* Experience in groundworks, RC structures, steelwork and building within a rail and civils environment

* Understanding of AutoCAD

Salary and benefits include:

* £54,000 - £64,000
