Construction Project Manager / Senior Site Manager\n\nLocation: Manchester\n Project Type: University refurbishment project\n Start Date: ASAP\n Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience\n Additional: Car allowance / Private Healthcare\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager or Senior Site Manager to lead a major refurbishment project within a University environment in Manchester. This is a site-based role, responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of works on a complex live refurbishment scheme worth over £5m.\n\nYou will take ownership of site operations, coordinating subcontractors and site teams to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard of quality.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDay-to-day management of a £5m+ refurbishment project\nCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to meet programme milestones\nMaintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance\nLead site briefings and ensure clear communication across all site personnel\nMonitor quality, manage defects and ensure works meet specifications and regulations\nAct as the main on-site point of contact for clients, consultants and stakeholders\nProduce progress reports, site records and health & safety documentation\nEnsure compliance with contractual obligations and site policiesWhat We're Looking For\n\nProven experience as a Construction Project Manager or Senior Site Manager on £5m+ projects\nStrong understanding of refurbishment works, ideally in live or occupied environments\nSMSTS and First Aid at Work certification\nStrong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills\nConfident managing subcontractors and site teamsDesirable:\n\nConstruction-related qualification or trade background\nExperience using project management or site reporting software\nChartered or working towards professional membership (CIOB, RICS or similar)What's On Offer\n\nCompetitive salary, dependent on experience\nCar allowance\nPrivate Health Care offering\nCompany pension scheme\n33 days holiday (including bank hols) \n\nApplications\n\nIf you feel that you have the relevant experience to be successful in this position and would like to find out more, please apply online today, attaching a copy of your current CV.\n\nDue to the vast number of applications that we receive, it is not possible for us to contact all applicants; therefore, only suitable candidates will be contacted.
