Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our dedicated Safeguarding Team. This role is designed for a professional passionate about protecting vulnerable children within a diverse and vibrant community, offering a competitive pay rate of up to £35.00 per hour.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage a complex caseload of children in need of protection and those subject to public law proceedings.

Conduct comprehensive Section 47 investigations and produce high-quality assessments to inform interventions.

*

Represent the council in court, providing expert testimony and detailed reports to ensure the child’s best interests.

*

Mentor and provide informal supervision to less experienced staff members to foster professional growth.

*

Collaborate with multi-agency partners such as schools, health professionals, and police to develop protection plans.
