Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll transform complex system requirements into robust, innovative software solutions.You'll also take on a leadership role-guiding, mentoring, and supporting a team of engineers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.What you'll be doing as a Senior Software Engineer based in ChertseyLead the architectural and detailed design of software within complex systemsTranslate system requirements into effective, high-quality software solutionsDevelop and test software (primarily in C++) to industry and company standardsCollaborate with electronics, firmware, and systems engineers to ensure full system integrationPresent technical designs internally and to customers at all project stagesEnsure compliance with company processes, standards, and best practicesSupport project planning, estimation, and delivery alongside the Project ManagerManage and mentor a team of software engineers, driving performance and developmentContribute to system integration, verification, validation, and customer acceptanceWhat we are looking forEssential:Strong experience in software architecture and detailed designProven background in C++ development and testingExperience working with Linux and Windows development environmentsFamiliarity with version control and structured development processesExperience leading or mentoring software teamsExcellent communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documentationExperience with UML-based design tools (e.G.
