About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar Installer to join a high‑performing renewables team delivering top‑quality domestic solar PV installations, with the opportunity to support commercial projects where required. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, leads by example on site, and wants to play a key part in a growing, forward‑thinking business.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing and installing domestic rooftop solar PV systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards. You’ll work closely with electricians, roofers, and junior installers, providing guidance and maintaining strong communication throughout each project.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and install domestic solar PV systems to MCS and industry standards
Work safely at height and ensure all team members follow site safety procedures
Carry out cable routing, mounting, panel installation and associated tasks
Support commissioning, testing, and customer handover
Maintain accurate job records and ensure clear communication with clients
Mentor junior installers and support team development
Assist with occasional commercial installations where required
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience installing domestic solar PV systems
Strong understanding of domestic roof structures, mounting systems, and safe working practices
Confident using power tools and working at height
Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Experience on commercial solar projects
* Solar PV qualifications (e.g., BPEC, MCS‑aligned training)
* Electrical qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
* Experience with battery storage installations
