At Change Hospitality , we are proud to be working in partnership with a leading, high-volume production kitchen operation to recruit an experienced and highly organised Senior Sous Chef.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven culinary professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering consistency, efficiency, and quality at scale. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of a fast-paced production environment.
The Role
As Senior Sous Chef, you will:
Support the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of a high-volume production kitchen
Lead and supervise kitchen teams to deliver consistent, high-quality food at scale
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and packing processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Monitor and control food costs, waste, and labour efficiency
Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff
Ensure all production deadlines and dispatch schedules are consistently met
Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
What Were Looking For
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high-volume or production kitchen
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Solid understanding of food safety and HACCP procedures
Experience with large-scale batch cooking and production planning
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work a 5 out of 7 rota, including weekends
Desirable Experience
Background in central production kitchens, contract catering, or food manufacturing
Familiarity with inventory systems and production planning software
A passion for process improvement and operational efficiency

Competitive salary of £46,500 per annum
