The Arding Rooms is our newest private members club, located within the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building in the heart of Clapham Junction. A thoughtful blend of Art Deco eccentricity with a modern, creative spirit, we have created a space where high end hospitality meets community, comfort and style.
Our members have access to our stunning all day dining restaurant (think elevated bistro), incredible roof terrace and a beautiful dedicated event space.
Menus are seasonal, local, and simple, with an ethical, ingredient-led approach. From relaxed weekday lunches, to lively weekend brunches, we offer our members food that feels honest, beautiful, and bursting with flavour.
Alongside the main restaurant, we host a range of corporate and social events for our members and external clients, and the kitchen team work closely with the Events Manager to provide bespoke catering packages for these events.
We are now looking for an accomplished and ambitious Senior Sous Chef to join our talented team on a permanent basis. As we are open 7 days per week there will be a range of daytime, evening and weekend shifts.

This is not a maintenance role, this is an opportunity to showcase your creativity and help us put The Arding Rooms on the culinary map!!
What youll be doing:
Support the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen leadership

Help design and execute fresh, exciting menus

Lead the team during busy services to ensure things run smoothly

Train and mentor junior chefs

Manage orders, stock and costs efficiently

Ensure the kitchen meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety

Were looking for someone who:
Has experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a quality-led kitchen

Is passionate about flavour, freshness, and beautiful presentation

Loves creating a calm, positive environment for the team - with no egos!

Can bring ideas to the table and isnt afraid to try something new

Wants to be part of a club that feels like home for members and staff
