SENIOR STRATEGY ANALYSIS MANAGER

UP TO £70,000

LONDON – HYBRID (2–3 DAYS IN OFFICE)


THE COMPANY:

Join a major UK transport operator as they look to hire a Senior Strategy Analysis Manager to lead a talented commercial analytics team. This is a high-impact, strategic role focused on unlocking revenue opportunities, influencing business planning, and supporting key stakeholder decisions. You'll be at the heart of shaping and delivering the company's commercial and revenue strategy, working closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders like the Department for Transport (DfT).


THE ROLE:

As Senior Strategy Analysis Manager, you’ll lead a team of Analysts and drive commercial insight across passenger revenue, demand forecasting, business planning, and long-term strategy. You'll work with large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights and ensure all major investment decisions and strategic initiatives are underpinned by robust analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of the passenger revenue budget, long-term plans, and forecasts
  • Building models to evaluate commercial initiatives, performance, and revenue delivery
  • Developing approaches to understand demand drivers and customer behaviour
  • Partnering with Sales and Marketing to define relevant analysis and embed data-led thinking
  • Supporting Revenue Protection analysis to assess activity effectiveness
  • Managing strategic planning submissions, such as Performance-Based Fees and Annual Business Plans to DfT
  • Creating a clear data and analysis strategy for the Commercial Department
  • Working with stakeholders to define KPIs, ensure delivery of business plan commitments, and influence high-level revenue decisions


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience leading a team of analysts in a commercial or strategic analytics function
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior leadership and government bodies
  • Deep understanding of forecasting, revenue planning, and customer behaviour modelling
  • Proficiency in data storytelling and the ability to translate insight into strategy
  • Strong technical capability in Excel, with experience using SQL, Python or data visualisation tools desirable
  • Previous experience in transport, travel, or public sector analytics is a bonus but not essential
