\nMulti-disciplinary setup means you’ll be around other experts (surveying, PM, QS, civils etc.) which helps when you’re working on complex existing assets. The role: Senior Structural Engineer\n\n You’ll be the go-to engineer on a mix of small to medium projects (up to ~£50m), with a strong weighting towards:\n \nStructural / condition surveys, inspections, defect diagnosis and report writing. \nIntrusive + non-intrusive investigations and practical remediation advice.
\nDesign solutions across masonry, timber, RC and steel, plus foundations/basements where needed. \nWorking with clients and design teams to keep scopes, deliverables and fees clear. \nYou’ll be out on site across London and the South East, so strong written English and confidence dealing with stakeholders matters.
What’s needed for the role? \n \nChartered Structural Engineer (IStructE or ICE) \nStrong understanding of building construction + UK regs \nComfortable owning workstreams independently, while still being a team player \nSolid experience with existing buildings, surveys, inspections and reports (this is key) Note: Some projects may require DBS and/or security clearance (BPSS / CTC / SC / DV).\n\n Apply: Contact Tom Stewart at Konker on (phone number removed) or email (url removed)
