They are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer based in the UK with a strong technical background. The role requires experience in designing structures of various types and leading structural teams on small to medium-sized projects with varying levels of complexity. They work with a wide range of national and international clients across multiple sectors, with a strong focus on industrial manufacturing, technology, education, government, and defence. Recent projects include data centres, distribution centres, gigafactories, manufacturing facilities for the automotive industry, microprocessor plants, and a variety of industrial buildings, as well as accommodation, offices, retail, schools, and public buildings. They are involved in both design and technical advisory services across all project stages, including work on highly secure and complex existing assets. Role Responsibilities: Work within a multidisciplinary team to lead the design and coordination of structural solutions across a range of projects Lead structural teams on small to medium-sized projects, or take responsibility for specific packages on larger schemes Undertake design work directly or supervise the work of other engineers Manage technical and commercial aspects of projects Lead small teams of structural engineers and BIM modellers Interface with clients, stakeholders, and project teams Contribute to technical quality processes, including thorough checking of team outputs Support mentoring and development of engineers and colleagues Qualifications & Experience: Relevant degree in Structural or Civil Engineering Professionally qualified (ideally Chartered with IStructE or ICE), or significant xehkeey progress toward chartership Strong technical expertise across a range of structural engineering projects Experience with structural materials and their practical application on site Familiarity with structural analysis and design software Strong understanding of health & safety and relevant legislation Excellent communication skills, including technical report writing High attention to detail and strong review capability Interest in sustainability and delivering sustainable outcomes Proven ability to manage small teams and project resources Collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor and share knowledge For more information, please contact Scarlet Wilson.
