Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 3-6 months+
Salary: £38-45 per hour (Inside IR35)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to provide interim support while permanent staff are recruited. This contract role will involve working across a range of sectors, including aviation, power, defence, life sciences, and public sector projects. You will be assigned to one sector at a time and will not be expected to deliver across multiple sectors concurrently. You will need to bring your strong technical knowledge and experience to quickly assume responsibility for projects and ensure delivery meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

·Provide structural engineering expertise across various projects.
·Collaborate with engineers and technicians within the immediate team (approximately 50) and the wider team (approximately 170 across all regions).
·Ensure designs comply with current C&S design codes and standards.
·Discharge responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations.
·Report to the Discipline Lead and the Associate responsible for the assigned projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

·Chartered Engineer (CEng) with MICE or MIStructE status.
·Detailed knowledge of C&S design codes and standards.
·Experience in discharging responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations.
·Strong experience in structural design and the ability to conduct independent design checks.

Desirable Skills:

·Ability to raise commercial concerns and awareness of the commercial aspects of projects.
·Confidence in technical design and the accuracy of work.
·Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to managing risk.
