Location: Newcastle Duration: 6 months Rate: £50 - £90 per hour IR35: Outside IR35
The Role
We are seeking a highly driven and resilient Senior Project Supplier Manager to take ownership of critical fabrication and machining work packages within a demanding project environment.
This is a hands‑on delivery role, requiring strong project management discipline, confident supplier engagement, and the tenacity to drive results against an extremely challenging programme. You will act as the focal point between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring commitments are met, risks are actively managed, and performance is relentlessly driven to plan.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain robust project plans, including expediting strategies and recovery plans where required Actively expedite supplier activities, challenging assumptions and driving actions to protect on‑time delivery Manage supplier performance, including escalation and resolution of blockers Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels Proactively identify risks and opportunities, taking decisive action to resolve issues Maintain accurate and timely reporting on progress, delays, risks, and mitigation actions
