Role Overview We are looking for confident and experienced Senior Support Workers to join a supportive team working with young people in both educational and residential settings. This position involves supporting individuals throughout their daily routines, both on-site and during external activities.
You will play a key role in helping young people build independence, resilience, and confidence by offering consistent emotional and practical support. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you’ll contribute to creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Professionalism is essential in this role, as you will be expected to act as a positive role model and represent the organisation appropriately at all times.
About the Provision This service provides specialist education and residential care for young people aged 11 to 19 with autism, complex learning needs, and behaviours that may challenge. It operates on a year-round basis and focuses on delivering high-quality, individualised care.
Set in a location that offers access to natural surroundings as well as nearby community facilities, the provision creates opportunities for varied learning and development experiences. It has achieved an Outstanding rating from Ofsted and is recognised for its forward-thinking and environmentally conscious approach.
Start Date Immediate start available, ongoing placement
Pay £14.30 - £14.88 per hour
Contract Type Temporary position – ongoing placement
Working Hours
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (8:00am – 8:00pm) Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday (8:00am – 8:00pm) Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in a similar support role Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (preferred) Willingness to complete required training, including safeguarding and Prevent Enhanced DBS with children and adults barred list clearance All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
