Job Description We are delighted to be supporting one of our clients in the appointment of a Senior Business Systems Engineer, a key role within their Business Systems function as they continue to enhance and modernise their ERP and wider systems landscape. \n\n This position will suit an experienced Business Systems professional who can act as a senior technical focal point for ERP-related activity, ensuring the ongoing availability, stability, and improvement of critical business systems. \n\n Working as a senior member of the Business Systems team, the successful candidate will provide 2nd and 3rd line support, act as a point of escalation for Business Systems Engineers, and play a central role in the delivery of an ongoing ERP upgrade.

While system enhancements and upgrades are supported by internal and external stakeholders, this role is instrumental in owning configuration, validating solutions, supporting users, and ensuring systems continue to meet evolving business needs. \n\n The role combines hands-on Business Systems and ERP support, system configuration, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement, with a strong emphasis on documentation, change control, and continuous improvement. \n Key responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving complex Business Systems and ERP issues, maintaining and configuring core systems, producing reports and managing data interfaces, contributing to ERP upgrade activities including testing and user training, and identifying opportunities to simplify and automate business processes.

The role will also involve maintaining high-quality process and technical documentation, supporting month-end and other frequency-based ERP activities, and attending operational sites as required. This role will appeal to a strong communicator who is comfortable multi-tasking across support, improvement, and project activity, and who enjoys working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders. \n\n If you have previous experience in a senior Business Systems or ERP-focused role, good SQL knowledge, enjoy acting as a technical escalation point, and are motivated by improving how systems support the business, we would be very keen to hear from you.
