Salter Grange is exclusively recruiting for a Senior Technical Services Manager to join a premier, first-generation international construction firm. Our client is a powerhouse in the Critical Environments sector, delivering high-stakes infrastructure for global blue-chip brands across Ireland, the UK, and Northern Europe.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team that thrives on complexity. If you are a technical leader who excels in stimulating, fast-paced environments and wants to be at the forefront of the Data Centre boom, this is the career move for you.
Reporting to the MEP Lead, you will be the strategic anchor for MEP delivery. You will manage the full lifecycle—from tender and design coordination through to testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Technical Services Manager Responsibilities:
Shortlist and select elite M&E partners; perform due diligence on sub-contractor packages to ensure commercial viability.
* Lead Stage 3/4 design development and technical reviews. Drive BIM coordination and clash resolution to mitigate risks before they hit the site.
* Critically monitor the commercial aspects of design to optimize profitability and manage escalated variations alongside the QS team.
* Act as the ultimate escalation point for MEP issues, ensuring Flynn’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) are strictly upheld.
* Build, mentor, and resource high-performing TSM teams. You will foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture where safety is the baseline.
Technical Services Manager Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent NVQ).
* A minimum of 7 years in construction M&E roles, with at least 3 years specifically within the Data Centre sector.
* Proven ability to deliver complex MEP systems from inception to completion for blue-chip clients.
* A collaborative "team-first" mentality with the ability to nurture a positive working atmosphere under pressure.
