Our client is a market leading, high-quality, design and manufacturing company. We are currently seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to join the Production Engineering Team. The Senior Tooling Engineer specialises in creating tooling solutions for moulding as well as Jigs & Fixtures for new and existing production needs. The Senior Tooling Engineer is responsible for the development of Tooling Design Solutions to support various processing techniques. Responsibilites include: - taking part designs from R&D and delivering final production tooling designs to allow volume component manufacture. - redesign of existing production tooling, revamping tooling standards to reduce production costs, labour time and scrap whilst also researching new tooling concepts. - coordinating all tool design work passing through the department including prioritising design work and ensuring tooling design reviews are conducted in a timely manner Qualifications and skills sought include: Minimum HNC qualification within Manufacturing / Production environment or Lean Industrial experience Engineering experience in Assembly/ Plastics / Automotive / FMCG Environment Experience of low volume and batch production environments Good working knowledge of 6 Sigma.
