Job Description

Role:\n\nProvide town planning services to public and private sector clients on major infrastructure and regeneration projects across London and other regions in the UK. Work in a smaller, dynamic consultancy whilst still working on large scale projects.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPrepare and submit planning and consent applications, including those related to Hybrid Bills, Transport & Works Act Orders, and Development Consent Orders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.\nConduct research on relevant planning policies, legislation, and sector-specific regulations early in project development to provide strategic planning advice.\nAssist in negotiations with local authorities, statutory bodies, and third parties to secure agreements on planning matters.\nDevelop and maintain consents management plans and registers.\nAdvise multidisciplinary teams on the preparation of drawings and supplementary planning documents for submission.\nMonitor construction activities to ensure full compliance with planning consents and directives.\nEngage in consultations with stakeholders and third parties to facilitate planning processes.Experience and Skills Required:\n\nRTPI-accredited degree.\nChartered membership with the RTPI or actively working towards it.\nSignificant experience in planning, gained in consultancy and/or local government.\nProven expertise in major infrastructure planning, including application preparation and appeals.\nStrong report-writing skills with excellent attention to detail.\nOutstanding written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience in stakeholder engagement within the planning process
