Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our busy client in Oxford. This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £35 - £40 per hour, negotiable for the right candidate.

Flexible working and working from home options are available. The main duties of the Senior Transport Planner are:

1. Lead the development, commissioning, and implementation of transport planning projects and studies, including those conducted by external consultants, taking responsibility for their management in accordance with our client's Project Management guidelines.
2. Provide input into the preparation of strategic plans and local development frameworks, and assess strategic development sites.
3. Advise on the policy, strategy, and infrastructure implications of Transport Assessments supporting development proposals, including strategic transport modelling.
4. Liaise with delivery teams on the feasibility, detailed design, and implementation of small and strategic schemes to ensure they meet objectives.
5. Project manage schemes and budgets related to Public Transport and Active Travel.
