An established UK digital consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior User Researcher to join a growing practice delivering impactful, user-centred digital services across a range of high-profile client programmes. The organisation combines data-informed insight, human-centred design and modern engineering practices to help organisations solve complex challenges and deliver services that work effectively for real users.

This role plays a key part within multidisciplinary agile teams, leading research activities that shape service design and influence product and delivery decisions.

What you need

To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong expertise applying a range of user research methodologies across different delivery environments

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary agile teams delivering people-centred digital services

  • Proven ability to translate research findings into clear recommendations that influence design and delivery decisions

  • Experience advocating for user-centred and service design approaches with clients and stakeholders

  • Knowledge of researching accessibility requirements and assisted digital needs

  • Experience mentoring, coaching or line managing user researchers or related roles

  • Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, including managing challenging conversations constructively

  • Good understanding of adjacent agile roles across design, product and engineering disciplines

  • Consultancy mindset with the confidence to explore complex problem spaces and guide clients toward effective solutions

  • Experience facilitating collaboration and embedding research capability within teams
