Manchester consultancy opportunity for Senior- Associate PQS- Leisure projects Your new company You will be working for a mufti disciplinary consultancy of Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers who operate under a wider group that specialises in compliance, risk management, workplace technology, and FM delivery. Your new role The Senior- Associate Quantity Surveyor plays a key role in delivering high‑quality cost consultancy and commercial advisory services across the consultancy's portfolio. You will lead cost planning, procurement, and commercial management activities, working closely with clients, project managers, and technical specialists to ensure projects are delivered with clarity, value, and control.This role suits someone who combines strong technical QS capability with the confidence to operate in a consultancy environment—advising clients, shaping strategy, and contributing to the consultancy's reputation for analytical excellence.80% of the projects are leisure, the remaining 20% are in the student accommodation, commercial and industrial sectors. Projects at the Manchester office are new build, refurb and fit out with project values of £250k-£14m.Key ResponsibilitiesCost & Commercial ManagementPrepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and budget forecasts across all RIBA stagesLead cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, and financial risk analysisManage procurement strategies, tender documentation, and contractor evaluationOversee contract administration, valuations, change control, and final accountsClient Advisory & ConsultancyProvide clear, evidence‑based commercial advice to clients and stakeholdersSupport strategic estates planning, lifecycle modelling, and investment prioritisationTranslate technical and financial data into actionable insightsBuild strong, trusted relationships with client teamsProject DeliveryWork collaboratively with project managers, surveyors, and technical specialistsContribute to multi‑disciplinary reports, business cases, and feasibility studiesLeadership & DevelopmentMentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharingSupport business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentationsChampion best practice in cost management, data quality, and commercial governanceSkills & ExperienceProfessional qualification- MRICS (desirable) or working toward chartershipStrong experience in cost planning, procurement, and commercial managementBackground in consultancy, client‑side, or multi‑disciplinary environmentsAbility to interpret technical data and communicate insights clearlyConfident working with large, complex estates or public‑sector frameworksStrong analytical skills and proficiency with cost‑management toolsExcellent stakeholder engagement and presentation skillsWhat you'll need to succeed You will have 4 years+ consultancy/ client side experienceYou will have a Property/ Construction related BScWhat you'll get in return Salary £60,000-£80,000 25 days holidayStandard pensionAPC support to gain MRICS status (if you aren't MRICS already)What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career. # 4767400
